BIO of NORLAN "EL MISIONARIO" a.k.a VDJ/MC Misionario "The Party Mastermind"

Norlan "El Misionario" a.k.a VDJ/MC Misionario "The Party Mastermind" was born and raised in the ghettos of Havana, Cuba. Norlan became to known in his country and around the world as a cuban hip hop pioneer who is not afraid of testing limits. Norlan`s first project before he started his solo career and to play as dj was a highly respected cuban hip hop group called: Alto Voltaje, which he founded 1996.

In 2005 Norlan started his solo career in Europe. He was the first to bring reggaeton music to Finland and has being carrying ever since proudly his artistical nick name "El Misionario" meaning the missionary. He released his solo debut album "El Misionario" 2007.

In 2008 Norlan won the title of the Best band at the international Ourvision song contest in Helsinki, and soon after he signed a record deal with Comrade Publishing. From his second album "El Bombaso" the first single "Sauna Caliente" went immediately number 2. on the Finnish Billboards and stayed there for almost 10 weeks. Also the remix of the "Sauna caliente" song went number 1. 2009 at Pepsi Max charts right after it was released.

As artist Norlan is preparing his 3rd album. He has toured around Finland and shared the stage with big stars as:Pitbull, Akon, Sean Kingston, Fat Joe & Nina Sky. As Dj Norlan has performed together with dj legends such as: DMX official Dj Nonstop, Alicia Keys official Dj Iroc, Pitbull`s official Dj Buddha, Daddy Yankee Official Dj Precise, G-Unit`s official Dj Epps, Dj Kast One from Hot97, New York, Dj Baster & Dj Jhose from Spain and many more. He`s also the founder of Finland`s biggest Latin/Caribbean & Urban party concepts such as: Club Sauna Caliente, Tropicoco, El Trafico and many more.

Norlan`s passion for latin music and his mission to bring Latin music all over the world continues to be so great, that he decided to start playing also as dj first at his own clubs. This is how Finland`s number one Latin Urban Tropical selecta was born. Norlan gained very fast the respect in the dj world, and now he is one of Finland`s most wanted Latin/Caribbean/Urban dj`s.

He worked as Copacabana`s resident dj from 2009-2010, and 2010 Norlan was also chosen as the " Best club host" of Helsinki by the readers of CITY-magazine. Norlan is known from his amazing ability to please different crowds from all urban & latin genres to caribbean specialities such as reggaeton, dancehall, soca, reggae, merengue electronico and the list goes on and on.

Norlan "El misionario" a.k.a VDJ/MC Misionario "The Party Mastermind" is one of it`s kind multitalent. Combining all his gifts he has taken the dj-culture to a completely new level from being just a dj. Norlan is officially Finland`s first ever VDJ/MC, which means that at his Dj-sets he does it all from the traditional dj art of mixing music to also mixing live music videos and his phenomenal MC-skills as an artist makes sure to hype the crowds to the maximum party enjoyment.

Norlan aka VDJ/MC Misionario is very passionate towards his mission and he has clear goals to continue to bring the latin & caribbean culture and music known and respected in Scandinavia and all over the world.
